Message: Your very welcome
There are still those who say none of the mods
work, what that tells me is there is something
wrong with thery trucks
Every mod works and once they are all done there
is a very nice improvement in both performance
and gas mileage
The lowest mileage I got this summer was 24mpg
with some hot rodding every other fill was between
24.4 24.8 this summer how can you beet that in
a 4x4 truck, 130,000 miles on this motor all the
mods and bolton's and a slightly hotter cam
the cam is almost identical to the hughes engines
power cam but it has a smaller lift same durartion
200/210 .460 with the 1.7 rollers
I figured the cam would hit the mileage but it
actualy helped my best ever mileage was 25.8
I have a few customers with 2 wheel V6 trucks that
have hit 27mpg
I have one customer with a 2 wheel V6 that
delivers the milwaukee jornal to michigan and
drive 50 miles to pickup the papers and than
100 miles ti MI than 50 miles back home 200 miles
per day he has like 350,000 miles on this truck
we put a double roller chain and gears with the
tensioner in at 100,000 so he has 250,000 miles
on the chain
He also has all the nods and bolton's and in the
warmer weather is getting 25 26mpg around 21 22
in the cold of winter also runs all syn fluids
this truck is going to be one of those half a
million mile vehicles
Before his dodge dakota he said he wore out 2
S-10 chevys around 150,000 he said the motors
were gone
man can you just emagine putting 1,400 miles
a week on your truck and having to drive in those
nasty snow stomes in the winter man that would
not be a job for me or the faint of heart leaving
home every day at 4am and driving for 4 to 5
hours but he does make a living doing it the nice
thing is he's home by 9am and has the rest of the
day off LOL
He tells me he never had any truck last much more
than 250,000 miles and he's going for a record on
this one he has been bringing it in every 5,000
miles for an oil and filter change and it is
always just 1 Qt low not bad for 350,000 miles
