Message: Well I figure its about time to change my spark plugs-80,000 and still the originals.
Did anyone run inro any issues when doing this?
I've only changed plugs on older vehicles, which is pretty straight forward.

Message: It's really easy. Blow out the dust around the coil-over, remove the bolt to the coil-over, slowly pull up while twisting it, pull it off. Then blow out the dust in the hole (canned air, etc), remove plug, .. replace after doing the standard gap check and such. Replace coil-over. Repeat process.
No issues. :) Much nicer than having to change cables, rotor, cap, adjusting dwell angle, timing, etc.

Message: Well I guess its been awhile since I've changed spark plugs myself-iridium?? I hope they work well @ 6.99.
I finally had went under my hood yesterday and pulled one of the wires; to my surprise they are pretty far down there. Any tricks that I should know of?

Message: A good plug socket with the built in holder
Iridium these plugs are for longjevity
The 3.7 and 4.7 both react very well to the NGK
Vpower at $2.50 or the e3 at $6ea
These are the most popular with our customers
with the 3.7 and 4.7 motors all say they run great
and the power increase is noticeable along with
a little better gas mileage

Message: i have a 2004 3.7L 4x4 sxt love the truck, kinda having problems lately but its due with 80,000 on it. i have been through many different brands of plugs. mainly for some reason i stay with the exotic metals. first thing is i have never had any luck with the E3. wont use em again, almost blew her up with those pieces of.. second, bosche +4 plugs come loose within itself-not a good thing. i currently run the irridium style plug, but not a difference is noticed. going to napa for some NGK's right now, im still debating on copper or the platinum. i think im going for copper cause of heat control. my truck runs extremly hot, but has nothing to do wiht coolant. (i think is in the top end/plugged cats) i flush the coolant once a month to avoid electrolosis, and i have nothing better to do. truck is stock with a magnaflow agrressive muffler. everything else is kept up on including every and all fluids replaced with the best of the best

Message: thanks WHAT. no performance difference at all. think i just wasted some money on expensive ass plugs. should probally take the advice and go with autolites 3923 cause the engine is still running hot. one index lower eh? are the 3923's (unfor. from walmart) a index lower? the thing is my temp gauge dosent show a hot reading...also im throwing a p 0501 speed sensor failure causing my speedo/odometer/tripometer to not work. any relation? when i left off throttle, truck seems like it wants to come outta gear and coast, then shifts back into gear hard when back on throttle. any advice to which sensor it is!? and/or any relation to heat?

Please provide torque requirements for spark
plugs. Is there a torque spec for the coil nut?
If so, please provide that also.
Assistance is greatly appreciated.
