 Subject: rack bushings

can anyone tell me how you get new bushings into the power steering rack. I hammered the old ones out but the new ones don't go in very easily at all! it seems that if i greased them it would be easier but i don't think you're supposed to do that. can someone help me out?

i did this the other day and i took some WD-40 and sprayed into the hole where the bushing goes, put in the bushing and pushed it as much as i could, took a bike peg and placed it on the top base of the bushing and hammered the top of that peg and presto it was in in no time =)
