I found a 1999 5.2 TB locally for 25.
Haven't seen it so not sure what it looks like.
Some of you have posted about this mod--
will this work okay on my 3.9 or do I need the modified 48mm that I found on ebay?

It's my understanding that 48mm is good; but I've read in here where the 50mm v8 actually is choked to less than 50.

Can you shed some light on this for me?

That's a good price and that TB will work on your 02.

the only thing you may run into isthe cable end
may be diff

bycycle type end
ball stud end
disc type

than you just need to get the right end cable
from a bone yard and change it

use all your V6 sensors because you know there
good

start and stop engine 3 or 4 times to learn idle
than about 200 miles it will learn the new flow
and you will notice it from 1600rpm to red line
around 15 to 18 hp rear wheel gain

And yes the 5.2 and 5.9 have 50mm throttle plates
but the have what is called a torque step that
is 48mm and you do not want to mode this use as is

92 to 95 need 92 to 95 v8 body
96 up need 96 up v8 body
