hi im new to this forum. i recently purchased a 93 dakota with the 3.9 v6 for 250$. its a great truck only had 75 on it but like all used cars has problems. only minor ones tho that i am trying to figure out. one of them is my main concern right now is that my reverse lights only work once in a blue moon. i checked the bulbs fuses and all that and im not sre whats wrong. any help or any one with the same problem and solution would be great. also i have the classic fuel guage problem. my guage dont work but i dont think its the sending unit becuse the low warning light comes on and i thought they would be the same unit. i had the guage cluster changed and it still acts the same becuse the old cluster the lights didnt work unless you hit them. also it smells like its running rich. or burning emissions. im going to try the cat and see if that fixes it becuse the exusht had to be replaces. also i was wondering ig any one knew were to by a replacment ebrake cable for it. i got all of it from napa except the peace that goes across the transmission and connects the both sides. not sure what it is calld. thank you very much for your help in advance

There is a switch on the transmission check that out.
If you can not fix I give you $200.00 for your truck I fix and sell on my lot for $500.00

My lot mechanic said he get switch for $12.00 take him 20 min to install. (Neutral Safety Switch)

as for your back up lights....i would check the bulb sockets
itself.
the bulb socket is the spring push and twist type (1156 bulb
number) In my opinion these sockets are crap...I have replaced
mine with the 3157 bulb number sockets and havent had any
issues since!!
I replaced my fuel pump and fuel gauge and the fuel gauge still
doesnt work under half a tank......I just keep track of the
mileage now.....
ebrake..?
your hand brake cable should be 3 pieces....the FRONT hand
brake cable and the 2 rear hand brake cables that go into the
drums.....
emissions...ha!!

lol put 2% windo tint and black em out like me lol i have 2 open the back windo and turn the cargo light on lol nothin should get behind me
