Subject: a pin hole question? IP: Logged
Message: I just swapped throttle bodies on my 92 Dak V6 manual, with a
V8 auto ported and polished TB....The motor revs higher and
shifting gears is somewhat jerky...yet its great on the highway!!
I know from 92-96 these motors were EGR equipped. (yuppie!)
The throttle body from the V6 has 2 pin like holes in the bores, I
have 2 extra V8 TB's (96&99) aint no pins holes in bores?? so I
am assuming that EGR TB's have pin holes in the bores??
yes I know its a pin hole of a question....easy on the comments
boys!!

Message: I don't know about the pin hole, I have a 4.7 v8 now. But, after replacing the throttle body, did you adjust the transmission cable properly? DId you reuse the old sensors??? YOu may have a TPS issue

Message: I have a manual transmission, I did not changed the TB cable on
the V6 with one from a V8, I did modify the V8 linkage to accept
the V6 cable ( ca$h issue) I used the all the sensors from the V6,
and my TPS is set at .7 volts, Im hoping that the ECM will learn the
more airflow....
