What exactly does "port" mean as applied to a throttle body? I can understand the polish part. What does this do for the TB and performance and does it make that big a difference?

Porting and Polishing generally means removing obstructions and smoothing the throttle body bores, as well as some slight enlargment of those bores.

Does it make a big difference? If done right, and you have a cold air intake? YES!

www.fast4x4.net has a good tutorial on how to do it. It's not exactly simple, my truck was out of action for three days (stupid Dremel burned out!)
