Message: Hi,
I just did my injector sync. I tried to put back edge of rotor on line, I MAY have went a little to far. The truck run fine no backfiring or codes.
My question is the truck seems to not spin the tires as much but sounds like its breathing more Thru the RPM'S. Does this sound right? I'm not really complaining truck runs fine no codes.
I will just run it awhile and see. I can always turn it back a hair. Thanks to all for a GREAT forum.

I think it's an easier/ more precise way to adjust sync than the other way.

Message: Hey make sure when doing that mod, If you went past TDC do not rotate the crank backward. If so the slack in chain will throw you off.

Message: Sorry guys hit the damn button before I was done.
Anyway
If you went past TDC, Rotate the crank all the way around again. If you notice any play in the rotor, It might be time for a new drive gear and or bushing.
The method your using is the same way I set mine.

Message: well,
Thanks for the info. I did put a little finger pressure on the rotor like Larry says and there was a little play not much. The truck runs good.
My Question was it seems like I lost a little torque at the wheels but the engine sounds like it is breathing better great thru RPM's. I still have plenty of power and just thought Larry could give some pro insight.

Message: Update:
I set the damper at 3 degrees BTDC and set the button on the line.
then moved it to TDC and it looked adjusted correctly back edge of rotor on line.
Bottom line truck seems to run better now and I will leave it alone LOL.That distributor is a real pain to get to. Thanks to everyone for your help!
