What size tires?
something like 4:10's would be more like it

The ring and pinion gears have to be from the same size rearend. Your truck probably has the 8.25' and the v8 could have the 9.25" rear. You need to make sure. And if you've never setup a rear end before, you just might want to let a professional do it.
