Subject: crankcase sensor IP: Logged
Message: Where is the crankcase position sensor located on a 1995 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9 V6 engine, 4wd in it matters?

Message: Facing the engine, it is bolted to the block right at the bottom of the left head. Goes into the trans bellhousing. Most people with auto trans remove the passenger side inner fender to ease access to remove/ change it. On my manual 4x2, I can just slide under the truck and remove it with ease.

Message: Got lucky and the crankcase sensor was OK, there was a broken wire in the wiring harness. Thanks for your help.
