Message: I bought a 95 Dakota and drive it for about a month and it's
been in the shop for at least three months. The biggest issue
I have is she just will randomly not start. I got her in the
winter and didn't realize how many things were wrong. Well I
used to live in Ohio and now live in Colorado and need to
drive it down here so i'll have a vehicle. We replaced the
computer and only had an issue once since. It's highly
possible I'll be on here frequently requesting help with it.
Judging by some of the forums I've read on here there are
many helpful people. I look forward to hearing from ya'll and
hopefully won't be stranded somewhere along this trip.

Message: Davy, good luck on the trip. One thing you may want to check is the splice(I think it's labeled as #115 in the schematic) under the PDC. It's about 6 inches back below the fusebox. #wires spliced to one. It Is not uncommon for this factory splice to get corroded and cause no starting problems.

Another possibility is misaligned shift linkage. If it won't crank, put it in neutral and wiggle the shift lever while turning the key.
Also, check fault codes:

Message: Yeah it'll crank. The first time I did like you said and wiggled
to shifter a little bit and it kicked over. I'll check the codes out
to tho.
Thank you
