Cruise control was working perfectly. Had engine rebuilt, everything hooked back up , now cruise control doesn't function.
Loose wire somewhere? Where should I start to look please.

Message: Sir, thank you for your response. Please be advised. I'm not a mechanic. Not even close. LOL.
However, I do have my repair book from autozone for my truck, and have changed out my water pump before.....so I'm not completely inept.
But when you say "clock spring" , I have no idea what you are talking about. Could you make it a little clearer for me? Please? Thank you.
Can I find "clock spring" in the index of the repair book?

Message: its in the steering wheel, my cruise control stopped working many years back and i could have sworn when i took the steering wheel airbag off, underneath it was a compartment that had a ribbon inside a round case, like a computer ribbon in there and it was broken its called a clockspring, after i replaced it the airbag light on my dash went out and the cruise control worked like a champ again.I'm not saying its not something else but check that out too.

Message: Ok thanks all....Like I said, it's gotta be something simple. Makes no sense for it to work perfectly before a rebuild of the engine...then all of a sudden, the day the engine is "finished", the cruise control no longer works.
My gut says it's not an inside the steering wheel problem. But more along the lines of vacuum lines etc...something just not connected somewhere. I'll report back.

Message: To me, if it were a vacuum issue, you would have a high idle issue. Probably some electrical connector left undone.
