Message: Depends on existing mods and how old and dirty your factory injectors are. As for the fuel delivery...much more accurate.

Message: Here's an interesting question...
For the 2000+ V6 (since it's got a different wiring harness), Bruce over at fiveomotorsport.com is listing a 21LB injector for the mildly modified engines. It doesn't say it'll fit the 3.9, but it -will- fit the 5.2, so I figure it's the same since the two engines are identical except for two missing cylinders. Any idea if the slightly larger injector would give any improvements over the 19lb?

Message: I'd kinda like to take mine out and clean them; is there a good solution or spray for that? And is it better than just pouring something into the tank? What about the fuel rail?

Message: 01 auto 3.9L RC there is only 25,000 miles on the motor. mods are:
jet II, 180 thermo, k/n (factory box), moved IAT,
magna-flow 3" v-8tb, auto lights brass cap/rotor,410s soon for jba, TPS Adj to 7.5 sucks for low end. Was not impressed with jetII was thinking of the IAT adjuster from s.Tweeks

Message: Hey, will those FMS Injectors be any quieter than the stock ones? Those things are loud. Mine click like crazy. Is that a sign of wear? I am waiting to get mine in the mail and I hope they were a good investment.

Message: They might be a little more quiet over stock injectors--biggest improvement I've seen is in idle quality and better throttle response!(fuel mileage may be better also--too early to tell for sure) IMO you can't go wrong for the money!

Message: Ok, going to larger injectors will only be benifitial if you are either pushing more air through your engine like with larger heads and intake via aftermarket or port&polish, or you are supercharged/turbocharged/nitrous running.
Other than that you won't feel or see or hear a difference between the injectors, not till you really start messing with all the plumbing.
A good way to clean the injectors is the additives you can buy in the store, other than that a soft-toothbrush and some chemtool work well, but the additive cleans INSIDE the injector where a brush can't get.
