Message: Splice a Flowmaster 50 series Delta Flow in place of your stock muffler. That's it.

Message: cbsdakota is right. I was going to put a high flow cat on but the guy at the muffler shop told me that the Dodge cat's are already high flow. He had a ford, a Dodge and a Chevy cat cut apart and showed me the differences. He was right the Dodge one is no different than the high flow one's you buy. Chevy one was the worst one. Also deffinately go with the 50 series Flowmaster. You won't regret it.

Message: Since he would only be replacing the muffler and not the entire cat-back system would there be much of a power gain or is it all for sound?

Message: JBA makes headers KRC usualy has them sitting on
there shelf.
http://www.krcperformance.com/newcontent/home.html
Summit racing also has them
JBA-1939 Dodge: 1996-2002 3.9L Dakota/Ram, 1 1/2 in. primary tube diameter, chrome plated, Cat4ward headers (See Produc... $366
They also have them for pre 96 with EGR tube setup
http://store.summitracing.com/
http://www.jbaheaders.com
They are direct bolt on manifold replacements just
bolt them on. I would recomend having the intake
side done to get the benifit of the headers on
a stock set up you will lose a little low end.

Message: I have a 2001 dakota v6. i recently put a flowmaster 40 series delta flow on it, and had dual exhaust put on too. they say the regular 40 series sounds more agressive than the delta flow, is that true????

Message: From what Ive heard, Yes the regular are louder.
The Delta Flow series are quiter but if you got the 40, regardless if its delta or not im sure its louder then most any other out there!
Gotta a question: did you lose some low end with the duals, most people do with our V6's

Message: as long as u get a single inlet with a 2 1/2 inch opening and 2 1/2 inch outlets you WILL not lose low end. if your looking for performence stay away from slowmaster. they may have good sound but they dont flow. many people will argue the fact that the duel outlet muffler will make you lose low end but its not true. as long as its a 2 1/2 inch inlet. headers wont give ya any power this early in the game. you must have quite a few other mods to the motor before headers will actualy benifit you. get alot more air in before you start with the air goin out. home made intakes are good as well as a v8 tb!

Message: I will look and find the 3-4 people that have posted about their losing LOW-END after going dual out on a V6. Not arguing with ya on this since I dont have any first hand knowledge but with all the people that have done it and said they lost, I wasnt willing to take the chance!!
