Subject: 03 almost stalling after rain IP: Logged
Message: if my truck sits overnite and it rains the next morning it idles very rough and when i accelerate it seems like the fuel cuts out and on for a split second. After ten minutes of this it goes away. any ideas?
mods. superchips tuner,k&n,f&b throttle body

Message: Same thing happend to me when I power washed my engine comparment. great idea HAHAHA. you should see if any water is getting into the airbox or maybe the maf sensor.

Message: Joe, could be moisture in the distributor cap, bad plug wires.
Ryan, FYI dodge didn't use a MAF sensor on any of these engines. they use a MAP sensor.

Message: Thanks daddio. I didn't realize the 03's had dist. caps. I'll try replacing the plugs wires n cap and let u know how i make out.

Well Joe, that's partially true. In '03 the 3.9 & 5.9 had distributor caps. The 4.7's didn't. But since you posted in the V6 forum I figured you had a 3.9.

Message: just changed my plugs,wires,cap and rotor. The idle is super smooth not too mention my truck shifts smoother. it supposed to rain tomorrow so I'll see what happens.
