when cruising say 45 miles an hour..... put it to floor it down shifts and takes off with no problem. from a DEAD stop if a completly floor it the truck will slowly take off then shift with no problems... it doesnt rev like its slipping it just simply bogs down and creeps away till farther in the power band then it will take off.

It sounds like the TC is stuck in the Lock-Up mode. What year is your truck? Do you have any codes coming up?

You may be right about this. Can you feel it shift? is is shifting 4 times or just 3? It could be starting in 2nd gear.

thats the thing it shift perfectly fine!!!! i counted my shifts today and they are all good. it should stall if stuck in lock up because in lock up the engine and trans are directly connected to avoid any fuel mileage loss from the torque converter so if they were "locked up" it should stall.... im soo lost on this problem. i think in a week or so im taking it in to have it looked at... hate to say it but this ones got me beat.

One - have you tried manually shifting ?
Two - have a close look at the wiring and
connections to the trans---.
Maybe some damaged ??
