Hi,
2003 DAK SLT QC 3.9 4X4 with 60K
I have a somewhat loud ticking from the rear of the engine compartment. Any ideas? Truck runs good, and no codes.
Just did the 60K services;
Trans fluid and filters change
oil
plugs \wires \ cap\rotor
pcv
It has been doing this for a while, even before all the maintenance..

Mine does it too. We couldn't figure it out but I think its something on the heads. Rockers maybe.

Check for an exhaust manifold leak
It can easily be mistaken for engine noise

Thanks, I should also mention that the noise happens mostly at idle; hitting the gas dissipates the ticking. I will check for the exhaust leak though, that makes sense.
