Message: I had the same problem, a clunking sound when I shake the back
end of the truck....I have replaced the bearings and both axle
shafts...the clunk is still there.
My axle shafts have end play and thats what my clunking sound
is....so I have left them as is......
I have done many burnouts, and lots of 4 wheelin'......no probs with
the diff.

Message: sounds like too much play in the spider gears. parts are like $100, and a novice can do this repair. :)
