Subject: I need a new Dak IP: Logged
Message: My 87 V6 automatic longbed with heavy duty payload which I bought new is giving me indications that it needs to be retired, so I am looking to replace it with pretty much the same configuration.
I want to spend $5G or less. All else being equal, what years should I be looking at to get the most bang for the buck. Are there any years I should avoid? Thanks for any help.

Message: I would shot for a 92 or newer the multi port
injection does work well
the 92 to 95 had the RH hydrolic trans gov control
96 and up have the RE trans computer controled
gove pressure control these did have some issues
with the trans sensor and sol but as long as you
replace them when they begain to act up your ok
If you plan on doing any performance work with the
motor 98 and up you can get the superchips tunner
04 they went to the 3.7 motor not a bad little
motor with the new 5 speed trans they run well
