so the same intake for a 5.2 or 5.9 will fit the 3.9? without modifications? or will i have to change it a little?

I am new to the game and I built a homebrew K&N intake for my 2000 V6. The whole thing including the filter cost me $58.00. You might want to look into that route.

Yes, the one for the 5.2 & 5.9 fits, but you have to bend a bracket or so; it's been so long since I installed mine I cannot tell you more except that it's pretty simple with a vice.

i used the 1517 from k&n it fits but u need to extend the braket a litel and it was about 400$.
