Message: Hey all. Quick question. Will a timing chain made for the 318 (5.2L) also work on the 3.9. Thanks!

Message: Yep, most parts off the 5.2 work on the 3.9! Same bearings, same connecting rods, same pistons, same valvesprings, same lifters, same pushrods...
Well, you get the idea. :0)
The 3.9L is a 5.2L with two cylinders taken off. The same timing chain will work, and a lot of people use the 5.2L double roller chain. :0)

Message: Yup...same chain. Don't forget to grab the chain tensioner from your local dealer though.

Chain Tensioner: Spring loaded idler sprocket that keeps tension on the chain, to take up slack. :0)
