Message: first problem is shifting gears. when it's cold getting into second is really a pain in the but. Once it's warm it's not so much of a problem. I have 94,000 miles on it, original clutch. It's not slipping though at all even when you gun it. Is there something i can put in the tran. to help this? I changed the fluid about 7 months ago. I seem to remember someone saying something about a product i think was called "mr Molly" or something like that!
the other problem, coming home tonight i was coming to a stop with the clutch in but the engine was still at high rpm's. they didn't drop down till i came to a complete stop in my driveway and even then it came down VERY slow. I've already replaced the IAC motor about a year ago. Is this some kind of speed sensor causing this? I have no codes. any help is greatly appreciated!

Message: forgot to mention, it's a 2002 3.9 2wd. also, now today it's doing it even sitting still. seems like after it sits awhile it's ok but after it warms up it's like the throttle sticks or something but the linkage is all good. I hear a lot of sucking through the IAC motor! Maybe a good cleaning or reset of the computer would help.

Message: ccman, from what you are describing, you may need to clean the IAC, it kind of acts like a "Controled vacuum leak" and that could be what is causing your high idle. Have you tried to get the codes yet? That may help you locate the problem.
Good Luck

Message: i cleaned the IAC last night and reset computer. had a hell of a time getting it started back up to re-learn. was running good. went for a movie tonight and got back in the truck and it wouldn't start. put foot on pedal a little bit and it started slowly then the idle was all screwy again. It's an aftermarket IAC sensor so maybe it's shot again. there are no codes. "p-done" always comes up.
i used the mopar nv3500 fluid from the dealer.
