Message: I have a 97 Dak 4x4 3.9l V6. Real dog!! I mean real bad. Its on its second lower end and transmission. Both were replaced under warranty. That fact makes me think that mine is not a lemon but they are just dogs. So that established, what can I do for cheap to get a little more mid range out of it. It seems like the engine has the needed power but the trans shifts at all the wrong times causing what I consider downright dangerous loss of power. Is there a way to interface with the computer to change the shift points. I called MOPAR performance, when I said 3.9l V6 they all but told me I,m screwed. Any help or pointer would be appreciated.

Message: Well, you can do some minor shift-adjustment by adjusting the TV cable. There are also a few other things that can be done for cheap, check out www.speedtweaks.net and go to their 'Tips and Tricks' section. :0)
