 Subject: 1987 Dakota Charging System

I am having trouble with the charging system on a 1987 Dakota. I have replaced the alternator twice and purchased a new battery. I'm not sure what else to look into. Does anyone have a wiring diagram? Would an improper ground be causing the issue? Please help! Thanks in advance!

Have you cleaned the battery cables ?
Yes , check ground connections .
I believe 87 had a separate 'regulator'
probably mounted on firewall with a two wire
connector --may be the problem..
