Just how close would a race be between a late 1990s Camaro v6 5-speed, and a RC 2000 4X2 v6 dak be.. say with a 5-speed 3.55... No mods on either car.. Has anyone tried this??
It's probably a long shot but ohh well..

pre 96' camaro's were 3.4l w/ something like 160hp and 200lbs/TQ. i'd go with the kota on this one. 96' and up, got the 3.8l w/ 200hp and 225lbs/TQ. stock for stock you're lookin' at maro taillights.

actually its a 3.9 and it has 175 HP and it weighs a grip more than a camaro

He was talking about 96 and up Camaros. Theyre 3.8 and 200 horse.

I think the 3.4 against a Dakota would be a pretty good race. If the camaro has the 3.08 gears in it. Some camaros come with 3.42 gears, you will be a little behind but anything is possible.

I raced a (94 ish) automatic camaro and wooped him at the track. I have a 92 auto 3.9 with more than a few mods and his was stock. I ran 17.0 and he ran a 17.5. I don't know how much of a difference a manual makes at the track.
Anyone know?

i have raced a guy that i later became friends with and he has a green v6 camaro..not sure of the year or any thing but he has some mods (tb/c.a.i)and i think thats it..but it was a fairly good race..i had him off the line and pretty much the whole way but he caught me towards the end and passed me up...i lost by about a car length(i also had a passenger)he said he spun his ties to much on the launch but it was a very good race non the less..i sudjest you go for it...

nosdart you race one with a 3.4 liter with the 3.08 gears, I think. If it was a 94. But beware of the 3.8 with the y87 package. It will not be a good race for the Dakota.
I do have a question for all the 4.7 Dakota drivers. Is there anything like a pcm upgrade or chip, anything like that for this truck? Please, please help!!!

ill give a news flash here i woped all v6 dakotas 3.9 liters. i have a 3.4 liter with open exhaust and no other mods. 5 speed no comparison. no effense guys but the camaro will win
