I was wondering if there was any differences in the amperage output between the alternators on rams vs dakotas? i need a new one but i need to get one that is able to put out more power.

Should be absolutely identical , 100 amp = 100 amp
160 amp = 160 amp
If truck is 'loaded' = air and Power everything
= equal requirement ..
