Message: could be a few things
when you switch to the floor setting, does the heat come out anywhere?
Could be bad/damaged conduit or simply disconnected inside the dash.
could be bad actuator which switches between the settings. Could be bad HVAC control unit.
Most likely a disconnected conduit or vacuum issue (the actuators and HVAC are both controlled by vacuum)

Message: heat comes out nowhere, but the pressure seems to increase drastically, like it blocked somewhere.

Message: Stupid question, 'cause I noticed this in my truck and felt really dumb. Most of the floor mats for the dakotas tend to be too long, blocking the floor vents when the mats are in place. Are your mats (or anything, for that matter) blocking your vents? I noticed this especially on the driver's side with a manual tranny, as the clutchwork tends to push mats up up and away and block the vents. Just trying to be helpful ^-^
