 Subject: 4.7 swap into a v6 4x4 regular cab

Been thinking about swaping a 2008+ 4.7 v8 into a 2003 3.9v6 truck.
Im pretty sure the 3500 5-speed tranny and the v6 rear end would need to be upgraded, especialy with the high out put of the newer 4.7 (310hp and 330ft/lbs). Can you guys think of any other snags with the swap?
I would love to get the huge jump in power, and most likely a 2 to 3 mpg increse due to the more modern engine.

oh yeah, would need to get the drive by wire gas pedal installed too.

The 4.7 is entierly diff and it would need a
lot of rewreing and a comp flash for vin
The best thing to do there is to run an
aftermarket computer like they do in the rock
crawlers and dune buggies that run the 4.7
they like the motors because of the torque at
low rpm's
Or you will have your work cut out for you
