Subject: Low Power IP: Logged
Message: Just had a 3.9l rebuilt on my 98 Dakota 5 speed, bored 30 over, JBA Headers, Harland Sharp roller rockers 1.7, 48mm F&B, Dual exhaust, Hi Flow Cat, Timing chain tensioner, cold air intake
Have about 430 miles on it. Seems a little puchy

Message: check your fuel pressure and make sure it's within spec. then try the CPS mod. it will advance the timing a few degrees. do NOT turn the distributor trying to adjust timing.

Message: pull a spark plug and look at the color
white to lean
black to rich
tan just right
the air/fuel ratio is controled by the o2 sensor
if not tan replace it
but get a good one from ngk.com NTK the same the
factory instals
Also the motor is still tight at 430 miles give
it time to break in I had 3 new daks and all
were doggie for the first few thousand miles and
the gas mileage did not improve until it they
had 5 to 10,000 miles
check the plugs first to see if its running right
