Message: Was wondering if this was a good idea. I think it wouldn't hurt anything but I was wondering if anyone here would have any ideas on it. Thanks

Message: I would recommend that you look into a auxillary transmission cooler (unless you have the factory Heavy Duty one) first. The Transgo shift kit would help...but for off roading, the Jr. kit is all that's really required. It firms up the shifts (better than stock) and prevents torque converter drainback.
