Subject: Heater hose connection to engine rusted IP: Logged
Message: I have a 6cyl dakota with a coolant leak where the heater hose connects to the metal elbow that joins it to the engine. What is this metal part called? and can it be changed out by the normal joe who does most maintenance on the vehicle themselves?

Message: Yes , you should be able to do it yourself .
May have to go to dealer to get the
fitting or ( adaptor ), it does not come with the water pump ( if that is the one it needs )..

Message: $9.90 at AutoZone. Don't listen to anyone who says that you can only get it at the dealership.
