Message: Kim, according to the Hanes manual it says the entire clutch master cly. and slave cly. is to be replaced as a unit, no way to bleed the system. I haven't looked at mine very closely to see if you could drill a bleed hole or not, if so that would be the way to go, only thing is you would have to disassemble the slave cly. to be able to get all the cuttings from the drilling out of the cly. then put it back together. Sounds like a lot of work, but if you can do it yourself it could be worth it.
Good Luck

Message: I have a 97 dakota, 4cyl.
Put in a clutch kit. Also changed the master and the slave. There is a nut on the slave to bleed.
The directions say to push short, quick pumps, 10 - 20 times and hold the last time to the floor.
Got it to bleed a few times and release some air, but i cant get it to have a steady flow of liquid. It stops bleeding and burping altogether and absolutely nothing comes out.
This is day one. My mechanic friend sayd that it can take a few days of going at it. We'll see.
So, if anyone else has any knowlegde or ideas about this, please let me know.
Thank you.
