Message: Here you can see the diff between the shift kits
TransGo
http://members.aol.com/gnkim/transgo1.html
2 things trango does you should do with the tci
kit also
torque converter lube 3/64 hole this sends more
fluid to the converter for lubrication
And the lockup hop up hole but only to .070 .080
You can go .100 .110 only if you replace the
converter seal rings with better quility rings
I usualy just open the hole .010 from what is
there and its a nice improvement in lockup
pressure do not go more than .080 max some trans
will already be that large than just leave it
there
TCI instructions
http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Instructions/instructions/220500_inst.htm
If you want to firm your shifts just a little more
without using the blocker rod you can use the
servo cusion blockers and you can get these made
by a machine shop for about $20 $25
If you want the demensions for these I can give
them to you
The rear servo you have to slide back the o/d
unit to install the blocker many who instaled the
transgo skiped this and just did the front servo
blocker because of that

Message: If you do either shift kit also check the TV
plunger and sleve for ware some trans came with
a plastic sleve
transmissionpartsusa.com
plunger valve and sleve $29 and use 2 shim washers
that come with the kit
if wore will cause iradic shift points
And the plastic 1-2 accumulator is junk
redrider.us part # 3A3 alm 1-2 acc with steel
rings will blow by and cause soft 1-2 shift
When ever you instal a shift kit it is very
important to keep it clean
the plate and filter screws are 35 inch pounds
for all screws on body
clean with carb or brake clean and take your time
and follow instructions carfully
seal rings
TCI also sells a nickle chrome fined pan with a
drain plug for under $30
The TCI kit also comes with a reusable gasket and
a high flow filter fine brass not paper
TCI 89 to 98
99 and up transgo
I am not sure if TCI is noe making a kit for 99
and up
