Subject: did i warp my intake?-mod?

i started on my intake a couple days ago at the shop and first i sand blasted it to clean it up
then i used a torch to rough cut the divider and i also used the torch to rough cut the runners. i finished the removal with a couple different grinders, 4 1/2 and angle with the 18 grit pad. the aluminum just seemed to clog up my two deburing tools? what do people use on aluminum for shaping?and how do you recommend measuring this intake so everything is exact? how exact or matched does this part need to be. i see there are factory castings and blobs for the factory,so what is the tolerance for this part?do i need nasa to stop the space ship from taking off so they can help me with my 3.9 intake? i cut the runners down so they are flush with the roof of the intake is that to far-- it makes sense to cut them there (flush)because of air flow? how much material should i leave at the top where the hole for the intake are. i have hogged the holes bigger to fit my 48 mm throttle body and will be gasket matching the throttle body and gaskets leading to the heads. but most importantly do you think i warped the intake cutting it with a cutting torch? a friend said i probably wraped it and its now scrap? well thanks for you imput and i have asked about this many times threw out the years of doing my homework, so thanks in advance! i got pictures also!

do you mean a plasma cutter a torch would melt
not cut alm

flush is about right on a angle to match inside

just use a tape mesure tru the port it will bend
around and come tru

be sure you use an old gasket and match the flange
ports

The bores should be 48mm

Now you need to use a good quility straigt edge
and a .003 feeler guage to see if you did warp it

sand paper is just for finish use an endmil
or woodruf key cutter its also posible you have
cracks from doing that

You can not magnaflux ALM you have to use a fluid
and ultrviolet light to see cracks in alm

check flanges and pletium cove for warp

I have never heard of anyone going after this with
a tourch man your brave maybe lucky to

torque 12 foot pounds 3 steps 4 - 8 - 12

yeah it was defintiely melting off and lookied like something out of terminator 2 the movie!
this was an extra intake i scored at the local junk yard on the bad side of town for 20 bucks-- so it wont be much of a loss, if it is one.
you said to finish it with sand paper, what grit should i go up to?
thanks for the comment at the end nice! my step father just happens to be a machinist for chrysler!--i will have him check over the intake.
i do have an ultrviolet light for checking for any cracks thanks for the help....

yeah i did warp the head!!!
but i can fix it...
i was informer that the warp isnt that far off and i probably can straighten it out with a really long flat piece of steel or a piece of glass and some sand paper from my long sanding board. this is gonna be interesting! i was also told that the inside of the intake should be rough not fully polished because when the inside is polished the air flows too smoothly and it doesn't atomize as well and if there were gains it would not be noticable.

Not on your motor,
The fuel doesn't get added untill right near the head, Take a look at where your injectors are and see for yourself. This is also the same reason a TB spacer is useless on these motors.

However The above is true with a Carb'ed or TBI motor.

that's why you need to clean up the manifold around the injector boss's. that's where the fuel needs to keep moving until it gets to the combustion chamber.

Just a little sanding drumb from a hardware store
with 80 grit in a drill will smoth it out nice

It don't have to look like a mirror just smoth

The atomization is mostly done by the high
pressure sray into the air flowing in and it
sprays almost directly into the head port
