Message: for a lot of horsepower you'll have to spend some money. first things first.do you have a budget? and what are your plans for the truck? nail down those 2 and maybe we can guide you in the right direction.

Message: Well it would depend on how much horsepower I could get. Also I was thinking about finding a 5.9 v8 and fixing it up and replacing the v6 with it. But if I can just do something to my v6, i would much rather do that. I dont really have many plans for my truck, except that I would like to make it faster, and have more horsepower.

Remove the flap where the air tube is attached
to the radiator suport this will give you more
cold air
A good set of wires and plugs NGK FR5 a solid

Message: honestly go with the 8 dude. i have the mod disease(and a 6 cyl. as well) and i have a high flow exhaust no cat and a cherrybomb muffler, i ran a custom CAI thru where the foglight cutout, relocated the IAT got a 180 t stat and gutted the webbing bs fro under the airhat... gotta say after all that work i fell like i could compare it to bad pu*sy. all that work for a disappointing end. i test drove an r/t last week and holy f'in shatballs. it had more pull shiftin into 4th than my 6 has dumpin the clutch in 1st. it would be cheaper to sell ur truck to put towards an 8 thatn it would to swap a motor in, but if ya gotta stick with the 6, do everything larry said, he knows his stuff. also a good mod is sending your ecu to B&g chrysler for a reflash.

Message: you can put it in the airhat that fits on the top of the TB so you don't have to add any wire to the harness. i spliced in about 8 inches more wire and moved it to the top of the stock airbox. you want to put it where air can move over it and keep it cooler than it being in the intake manifold.

Message: easy things to do is get rid of the old stock mechanical engine fan and get an electric one, try some E3 spark plugs and a high power ignition coil, it doesn't cost as much as it sounds but u will c a dramatic gain in horsepower, the only catch is the fan thermostat, u have to put it inline with the water hose because there's not a good spot on the block to put it
