Message: there is a solenoid inside the tranny that controls the lock up. you should be able to get to it by dropping the pan.

Message: My guess is he is talking about a F250, he said its a 93, by then I think Dodge was using the 1500/2500/3500 nomenclature.
Good Luck

Message: in 93 both ford and chevy had electronics
check the wires and ground sounds like you lost
either power or ground
1 power wire
1 O/D sol wire
1 lockup wire
If you get a wire diagram and know which is which
you can jack up the rear run a power wire down
and ground and do what is called a forced shift
just run about 25 30mph and check them if the
forced shifts work its your wireing if not its
an internal wire or the sols but its very unusual
to lose both sols at the same time
And no it will not do any harm to the trans doing
the forced shift test
What I do is run the wires into the cab have it
jacked up and you will see the shift on the
speedo and feal it
