Subject: Mopar V6 4 barrell intake

i know of a guy selling one from his premag V6. he claims it doesnt fit the magnum V6. this true?!?! shoot id pay $400 right now for this puppy if it fit the magnum!!!

so my question is will it fit?!



1996 Dakota CC 3.9 manual
(rebuilt motor at 9.5:1 compression, Hughes 208 V6 cam, milled heads, 1.6 Hughes RRs, ported intake manifold, Tom Fox PCM flash, FMS 24# injectors, K&N FIPK, F&B 48mm tb, MSD coil & wires, underdrive pulleys, JBA ceramic headers, custom y-pipe to 2.5

Vertical bolts on Mag and the premag is angled. Can be redrilled but its a bit of work.

I've seen them around a whole lot cheaper than that. If you can pick it up for $100 or less then it would be worth the work.

Keep in mind, 4bbl manifolds rarely every achieve max intake velocity pressure. The intake velocity level of your manifold setup will greatly dictate the maximum torque through the curve, not just on top. This is why racing teams for decades have always used multiple one or two barrel carb setups. We don't see the same kind of bottom end torque of that of a V8, so we can't get away with sacrificing low-end intake velocity levels just to make a few more ponies on top. Its the same damn thing that the ricers do, considering 4 cylinder engines are ready have fairly weak low-end performance as it is.
