most fords have an auto fuel shutdown when in a crash......does mine have a auto fuel shutdown ??? is that in english........

yes, your truck has an ASD system. look in the underhood fusebox for the ASD relay.

The ASD
When you turn the key on the ground for this relay
is turned on and 12 volt is sent to the computer
telling it to turn on all systems for start it
also powers up the injectors and o2 sensor
When the key is tuned off and the asd sense wire
does not recieve batt volts the compiter shuts
down the fuel drivers and the ignition
Auto Shut Down it also powers up many other things
but for the motor this is what it does shut down
fuel and ign.
Now what he is probably talking about is a roll
over or crash switch that shuts down the fuel
in a crash or roll over
The fords have them behind the glove box in most
trucks and the trunk in most cars
You know I have never run into that what I have
found is that it seams to be incorporated with the
air bag switchs when the bag is activated it shuts
down everything and you need to get it reset
before the truck will restart
Depending on year the older ones a hard reset will
do it some of the newer ones you need a factory
flash to clear it out after all the bags and
sensors are fixed or they will not run
I may be wrong but I have never run into 1 on the
dodge trucks
I had a 03 hemi truck that was totaled and even
with the airbags poped the truck would still start

wow i want to install a coolcan but if i crash the vehicle and the hoses seperate or get cut i want the fuel to shut off so i bought a ford epp switch
