Could be a sign that your battery is getting ready to die. It doesnt supply enough power to remeber the idle settings and has to relearn it when you start the truck.

TPS throttle position sensor
drivers side of throttle body

IAC idle air control back of throttle body

either a #20 or #25 torx bit remove IAC spray
with carb clean also hole it came out of do not
push pull or twist on plunger

If the IAC is bad get one from the dealer we have
found many of the after market parts houses IAC's
that did not work correctly even had a few that
would send reversed readings to the computer the
steps is the amount the valve is back off the seat
and they would actualy be reading less when they
were farther off the seat LOL That was a good one

If you replace either you will need to start and
stop the truck 3 or 4 times so it can learn the
new TPS volts or the IAC steps

The TPS can not be cleaned needs to be replaced

What happens is when the motor is shut off the IAC
will back off the seat this is what causes the
truck to rev anytime it is started hot or cold
and than back down to idle speed if its not doing
this its another sign its bad

working after a short warm up tells me its
probably just carboned up and needs to be cleaned
or posably replaced

These 2 control the idle
