Subject: Warranty on Throttle Body
IP: Logged

Message:
I was looking into buying a V8 throttle body for my dakota and was looking at getting one from fastman, f&b and a new stock one through the dealership. I know that the one for the fastman is $315, dealership is $360 and f&b is $407 but before I order one or the other I would like to know if anyone knows the warranties on these pieces of equipment because I haven't got a response from my emails to the companies yet. Thank you for any information!

Why in the hell would you look at one from a dealership????

I'm sure either F&B or Fastman will warranty their product against defective workmanship or material for at least a year. Either one are very easy to work with. Try calling rather than emailing.

I just checked at the dealership to see what kind of price they would charge for a stock one compared to an aftermarket one with better performance. So for my money, the F&B and Fastman are both good but I've heard the F&B are a lil' better so I was just wondering about the warranties and stuff on them.

if your getting a fastman or f&b
the TBs are already modified
you dont get a modified V8 TB for a V6

you go with a stock V8 TB or a modified V6 tb

I understand that part, but the modified V6 throttle bodies made by F&B and Fastman are modified so that they perform as good as or better than a V8 one, so I just checked out the price on what a new factory V8 would cost to compare it to an aftermarket V6 one that is modified to perform at about the same standards.

The V8 low end will remain the same with the gains
coming in above 2000rpm

The fastman 46mm or the F&B both have a 1 year
and offer gains from off idle to redline they are
the way to go

Did you ever hear of a throttle body wareing out
or braking it does not happen all they do is
flow air there is no gas, jets, floats to ware out
or fail just 2 buterflys that open and close
and the shafts have little ball bearings on them
so they never ware either

The price of a new V8 body is not worth the gains
you would get

the F&B is the best but the fastman is a great
deal they both show almost the same gains with the
F&B's showing 2 to 4hp and about 10 torque more
and just a little crisper response with the F&B

The fastman is a reworked stock body
the F&B is new machined from a solid chunk of Alm
and anodized so it always looks new
