Message: Hey there. Its time to replace my spark plugs in my 07 Dodge Dakota 3.7 liter. Anyone ever have luck with the Iridium IX from NGK? Should I stick with conventional plugs? Thanks.

Message: i wouldnt recommand these plugs unless you are running boost. even then, there are pluses and minuses to other plugs, i think your better off going with the NGK V-power plugs!

Message: Halo's $9ea
E3's $6ea the e3 we have been installing in all
the 3.7's and 4.7's and the customers all love them
more power and better gas mileage in all some guys
gaines 3mpg average is 1.5 2mpg in these motors
NGK Vpower $2.50ea this is anothe less expensive
option more power with mileage gains 1 to 2mpg
These motors love these plugs
If your straped for cash as a lot of people are
wal mart has either the champ or autolite for

Message: E3's are $hit. don't buy them. Go with NGK V-power or just a
regular copper champion. All this "platinum" and "iridium" bs sure
is getting to all you guys... and your wallets.

Message: Agreed. Stick with the cheap stuff. You wont have any noticable gains from a $10 plug on a stock engine. Dont waste your money

Message: Is that right
The iredium platnum and as all the high
performance ignition makers call them hype plugs
are just what they say all hype they are made for
longevity and nothing else
These plugs will also cause ping because the
fancy metal does not disapate heat as well as
a stock nckle plug this is all true
But design does make a diferance
take a stock truck
now get a good solid brass incerts cap like the
napa mo26 and the mo28 rotor and a good set of
low resistance wires like the MSD or taylor use
a set of NGK Vpower nickle plugs and you will
feel the diff in performance and see better
gas mileage and smother idle
Doing this to a stock truck I can gurantee at
least a 1 mpg gain, I have seen this a thousand
time over some even do better with a 1.5 to 2mpg
gain
The halo's and e3 are just stock nickle copper
center electrode no precious metals in these
plugs
And as someone said no one wants to pay $6 or $9
each for a plug so we did a lot of testing with
all the plugs out there and the best bang for the
buck was the NGK Vpower
And we are not the only ones who have found that
out, Hughes Engines and KRC performance also sell
only the NGK now so don't just take my word on the
NGK Vpower Hughes and KRC are also very respected
builders of dodge performance
Its just like most older people think that there
is no diff between reg oil and synthetics
synthetics give you less heat, less friction and
ware and will also increse gas mileage and
performance
Take a stock 4x4 change all fluids to syn's even
the power stearing and you will see an easy
2 mpg gain within the first 200 miles of driving
Most of the new cars are now factory filled with
synthetics
Case in point my nephew just got a new honda and
in the manual recomend first change 3,000 miles
than 6,000 and say the motor will not be broke
in untill it has 9,000 miles this is do to less
friction and taking longer for things to seat in
Than from 9,000 miles on it will begain to get
its best fuel economy
Vipers, Vets Ford GT's and all mustangs with the
4.6 also come with syn's from the factory
And you wonder why HUMM !!!

Message: Just making a comparison
as with plugs so with oils
There is a differance
The jeeps with the 3.7's and 4.7's for some reason
show more gains with the e3's than the dodges
figure that one out
