 Subject: i ordered pa body lift and hurst shifter

i Have a 2000 dakota 3.9l 4x4 5 speed i ordered the pa body lift and the hurst short throw shifter. i need to know where my shifter has to be extended. problem child has the body lift and said he got the hurst short throw shifter to fix his throw after the body lift. well he hasnt posted anything since 5/15 or something like that and want to know what i have to do. please help! thank you

Eric,
Sorry for the multiple posts. I didn't extend the hurst shifter, I messed up the factory shifter cutting it and trying to weld the extension provided with the lift kit. It worked but just didn't feel right shifting, felt like you where going a mile between gears. I would suggest not doing anything to your new shfter.
I don't think you'll gain anything by extending the short throw, it really wasn't much or even anything over the original shifter (before extending it) as for throw. Hope this helps, and good luck with your project.
