Message: I'm getting a loud ticking noise in the front end but it only happens in 4 wheel drive and only when I turn. I've checked the front U-joints and its not that, also the wheel bearings were just done, and ideas? Ball joints probably?

Message: Flip, my best guess would be in the C.V. joints.
If it only happens when you are in 4wd, then that points to the cv joints. The fact you say it only does it while turning indicates it probably an outside cv joint. What you may be able to do is jack up the front and grab the axle shaft close to the outer CV joint and see if it has any play, it should be tight without play, and turn without noise. It could be that a boot got tore and needs to be replaced. Its pretty easy to do, though you do have to take the axle apart.
Good Luck
