Message: Wow, it's funny what lengths some will go to, just to attack me. I'm not Polish at all; that's just a screen name I took from the original Vanishing Point movie. Just back from vacation and still interested if anyone could shed light on Larry's claim that 4.10 gears were offered as an option in any year Dakota. From the responses so far, I don't believe that is accurate...
By the way, when did being right become wrong ?

Message: Kowalski, i can't answer that but i think this particular thread has gone awry. Larry has probably reached that conclusion also and likely won't post to this thread again. i think all these wannabe comedians are coming here from other Dak sites to post their garbage because of the fact they are not allowed that(for lack of a better term) "freedom" on those sites. and there is little to no traffic on those other sites.

Message: Freedom, oh yes, it is what we all long for.
Larry is correct, it was special order, dealer installed only, Chrysler warranty backed. So before you bash Larry, know all of your facts first.

Message: I wasn't bashing Larry; just asking a question at first. I knew it wasn't available my year,so was wondering when it might have been. Still no info as to when this might have been; why so stingy with the information if it is acurate ? Doesn't sound like Flip would be likely to find one in a salvage yard - that was the point I was making. I now realize it's more important to protect someone's ego than it is to provide helpful information on the v6 board; and won't trouble you guys with the smaller motors anymore.

Message: Well go ahead and leave. Yours was the only ego that was harmed. If you don't believe it, go talk to your dealer. It was done for years. Maybe not in your area, but it was in mine and obviously Larry's also.

Message: oh shutup kowalski, dont talk down on 3.9 owners because you have a baby v8. when you step up to a 360 or 440 then maybe you can talk. i love it how 4.7 owners think that they automatically get a license to be arrogant jerks.
