Subject: Manual Tranny Fluid IP: Logged
Message: My truck has to carry my ass back and forth to school all year long. I'm trying to throw some attention to her this summer. I'm thinking at 60K it's time to change the transmission fluid. A friend of mine is an Amzoil dealer so I'm thinking of going with Amzoil, but does anyone use anything better? I know I could go back to the local Chrysler dealership and buy the Mopar fluid, but I'm looking for something better for the towing I do. My friend the Amzoil dealer claims Amzoil will lower my transmission temp by 20 degrees which I find pretty impressive. Any info is appreciated.

Message: I’m not sure why you feel that the “sh1t is going to get real deep”. I don’t think the topic of transmission fluid is very controversial and so far I'm not getting any useful information. I have no problem with people telling me what they think about the "A" word. However I don’t understand why people have a negative attitude towards Amzoil they make a very good product in my opinion. Many people in the racing industry swear by Amzoil and relay on their fluids every race. Considering this I feel that it can handle my mild street driving just fine. I'm not set on Amzoil, I can also purchase Royal Purple at work for 20% off. I just wanted to know what everyone else preferred.
