Subject: brake squeals IP: Logged
Message: so when it rains, or when i start 2 drive for the 1st time in the morning, my breaks squeal n squeak as i apply brake pressure when pulling out of my driveway on2 the street, it lasts for about 2more stops, then it goes away for the rest of the ride/day
if they squealed constantly i would assume its worn pads, but it goes away after a few minutes
im thinking its just moisture and condensation, but if its something else, i wanna fix it, it happens everytime i go to drive for the 1st time in the day, then its goes away for the rest of the day

Message: I had the same problem with my brakes too. I took the wheels off, cleaned all the brake parts with brake cleaner. Then I removed the calipers and pads and put some disc brake anti-squeal compound on the back sides of each brake pad. Then I lubed the caliper slide pins with caliper grease and put regular high temp grease on the dust boots and the caliper slide surfaces. Brake squeal is caused by vibration of the calipers and pads. Since I did that I have had absolutely no noise or squealing and it was very easy and cheap to do.

Message: Common moisture and condensation on brake hardware can cause noises along with overheated brake parts which lead to distoted tolerances and fatigue operation of brakes or might have foreign material caught in there many possiblities........
