Subject: wells distributer cap & rotor& plugs IP: Logged
Message: on my 2000 3.9l with 104,000 miles i put on a new wells distributer cap and rotor and put new plug wires. and put autolite 3923 plugs and gaped between .40 and .45 well since ive done that when stoped at a stop light when just idleling i can hear a ticking sound only when low rpm wonce get up to speed cant hear it. allso i have a 5 speed and when i stop at a light and press in the clutch and come to a stop the rpm drop a little than come back up to normal idle. any help be so appreciated. I want to keep this truck for alot longer cant afford to buy nething

Message: the wells caps are elcheapo alm
for a few bucks more
napa mo26 & mo28 brass incerts
if you hear a tick sounds like a spark jumping to
ground
be sure all your wires are fully on the plugs
NGK Vpower FR5 $2.40 more power better gas mileage
Just open hood at night rev and let off you can
see it or hear where its happining
posible broken plug during instal
