Message: I have an 02 4x4 3.9L and i am running the halo plugs. Today i pulled my plugs to see how my truck was running. All were clean with a dark brown color, but one was oily and black. What does this mean? what do i need to adjust? Also i ran some sea foam threw the throttle body to try and clean things up a bit, and i was wondering what is the best way to add it to ur motor oil? should i add it just before i plan on changing oil? or is it safe to run it in there for several days? Whats your opinion? Thanks in advance.

Message: trevner, sounds to me like you have a leak in the intake manifold,(gasket) it could be sucking oil in the intake through the valley pan (that's under the intake) that could be where the oil is coming from.
As for the sea foam, I wouldn't run it in the engine more than a few minutes, the fuel is fine for long term, but I don't want something that thin in my oil for very long.
Good Luck

Message: check the plug wire
stock or most after market 300 ohm per foot
msd and the better wires 50 ohms per foot
there are a number of things it could be
manifold leak
valve seal
rings
leaky injector will also turn a plug black
take a compresion test on that cyl
if good start with the easy stuff
wire
injector
if all others are tan I would suspect the wire
or injector with the wire probably the prob
the more serious problems are rare on the V6
dodgeram.org will tell you how to check for
manifold pletiam leak
