Subject: TRANSGO SHIFT KIT INSTALLED!!!! IP: Logged
Message: Aloha dudes and duddettes,
i just got back my 2000 Dak VSixer from the my buddy's shop and it's AWESOME!!!! you know how our VSixer tranny shifts the gears pretty fast? now my shifting stays a couple seconds longer and it just bangs on the shift!! i mean it BANGS!!! WITH POWER... he, he,he!!! all in good thanks to the man BERND at www.speedtweaks.net
on the bad note..... when i got my truck back they scratched and dented my passenger steps in the process. its not that noticeable but you know us owners we can tell everything. i'm planning to take it out as well as the OEM fender flares that i got from an R/T. let me know what you guys think.... i'll send you a pix of my truck.
Mahalo,
Scotty

Message: Hey scotty,
when you say "bangs" how big of a bang is it? Is it teeth rattling, or is it just enough to really let you know the thing is shifting?? Thanks!

Message: i have the shift kit on mine and it bangs but not like teeth rattling. i guess you could say its like manually shifting your automatic. imagine shifting in to drive when your climbing up 2nd gear towards 4000 rpm, its like that.

Message: Aloha Bill,
yeah i'm sorry i kinda exagerated a little there. BANG as in like bang. you can tell the difference. if you wanted a BANG then you can choose the race set up. i took the heavy duty cause i didn't want to work my trans too much. mainly i'm doin it so my trans can last forever cause i'm keeping my dak forever.... oh well.
mahalo,

Message: my tranny is working well at 82k miles. put the V8 TB in and it chirps going into 2nd!!!!
mods:
V8 TB
under drive pulleys
Air Raid Intake
PowerAid TB spacer(not really a mod just a sound)
single in dual out flowmasters 40 series
around $700 for about 2 seconds off the 17.8 stock time. i cant wait to see what i run with the TB installed. it has to be 15's now i can tell a big difference right off the line and the top end is even better!

P.S., a little off the subject, is the bottom inside of my intake manifold supposed to look "wet" or oily?

Message: No...we sell the "Professional" kit. Instructions are the same but the box is a generic one (not the retail box) and no video.
On the manifold, if it's a very light coating of oil on the base of the manifold, this is normally due to the PCM valve (oil steam). If there are small puddles at the base, that's a leaking plenum gasket.
