Message: I'm not Larry, but most of the guys here seem to like the stuff NAPA sells, brass terminal cap/rotor, and some good plug wires. Just something to be aware of though with plug wires, I bought some ACCELL wires, on the package it said 500 ohms per foot, when my truck didn't run any better I decided to check the ohms to see if they were correct, turned out they were twice what it said on the box. I was pissed because they cost me 60 bucks. I tried to take them back but was told, "since you opened them we can't refund your money". My advice would be to take an ohm meter with you and check them before you buy them.
Good Luck

Message: as long as the cap & rotor have brass contacts its good. no need to spend the big bucks for a name. i bought good(brass contact) cap & rotor from O'reillys. Borg Warner brand. and Dak49 had good advice on the wires. by the lowest resistance you can get.

Message: The mapa MO26 and MO28 cap and rotor solid brass
incerts around $15 and actualy is a borg warrner
cap
I stay away from all accel products I have had
even there new distributors and coils fail
prematurly
Taylor 8mm or MSD 8.5mm with the MSD being
my first choice 50 ohms per foot and they are
what they say they are just get for same year
5.2 2 wires left over and a perfict fit
I will still also sware by the halo's
I sent the E3's back to the company and they found
they had some with a bad resiter section in them
I am retesting the new ones they sent me and they
are running great, having 3 failures they also
sent me a set of 3.40 free to test in my lincoln
mark 5 they are also working great
79 mark 5 400 clevland 68,000 org miles arizona
car org paint on this baby I did mod the motor
crank power 375/450 2.47 gears and over 20mpg
highway mileage all royal purple
I rate the plugs
Halo's $9 ea
E3 $6
NGK Vpower $2.40
Autolite
Champ
for the mag motors the e3 and the halo's are very
close to each other
The best bang for the money is the NGK but there
is a noticeable diff with the e3 and halo as is
with the NGK over the champ and autolite

Message: Larry,
I know this is a Dodge board, but you seem to have a lot of experience with plugs and such. What would you suggest for a 97 Ford Escort 2.0L for plugs? 106K and they are due to be changed (just bought it).
thanks

Message: e3 run very well in the small motors $6 each
if your straped for cash the NGK Vpower at $2.40
would be my next choice
We have used the Vpower in almost every brand and
motor out there and all had comments that there
vehicles never ran so well
we have also been instaling a lot of e3's latly
also with good resaults but some will just not
put out the money and have the idea that a plug
makes no diferance How Wrong They Are

Message: Larry,
Thanks for the info. The NGK V powers are $1.98 at Advance. Sounds like they'll pay for themselves after one tankful.
